Characterization

Synthetic heptapeptide - analogue fragment ACTH 4-10 (methionyl-glutamyl-histidyl-phenylalanyl-prolyl-glycyl-proline), devoid of hormonal activity. All amino acids in the L-shape.

Structure and Composition

1 ml of solution in the form of nasal drops contain 10 mg and heptapeptide Nipagin 1 mg (preservative) in vials of 3 ml with a cork-dropper, in a cardboard pack of 1 vial.

Pharmacological action

Improves memory and learning, adaptation to hypoxia, cerebral ischemia, anesthesia and other factors.
Pharmacokinetics

Absorbed from the mucosa of the nasal cavity by 60-70%, rapidly distributed in tissues and organs, penetrate the BBB. Rapidly destroyed and excreted.
Pharmacodynamics

Stimulates the selective attention for learning and analyzing information. Improves the consolidation of the memory trace.

Statement

Ischemic stroke (acute period).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity.

Dosing and Administration

Intranasally, using a bottle-dropper. One drop contains 500 micrograms heptapeptide. In stroke average weight: 2-3 drops in each nostril (2000-3000 mg of active substance) 3-4 times a day with an interval of 3-4 hours daily dose - 6000-12000 mg of active ingredient. When severe stroke: 3-4 drops in each nostril (3000-4000 mg) 4-5 times a day with an interval of 2,5-3 hours daily dose - 12000-20000 micrograms of active ingredient. Course duration - 10 days.
Interaction

Given the intranasal route of administration Semax, undesirable intranasal administration of funds, with local vasoconstrictor action.
